Software Engineering Manager - AI/ML & Computer Vision

Software Engineering Manager – AI/ML & Computer Vision (Manufacturing) Location: Dearborn, MI (100% Onsite) Duration: 12+ months
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This role is 100% onsite in the Dearborn, MI area and may require occasional travel to manufacturing facilities for product development and deployment validation. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite. We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for developing advanced AI/ML and computer vision solutions within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a technical leader with experience in software engineering management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, and scalable technology solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software and data engineers. Own software development lifecycle activities from architecture through deployment. Drive AI/ML and computer vision product development. Support scalable deployment of AI solutions across manufacturing environments. Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders. Drive engineering best practices including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and quality standards. Support deployment validation in real-world factory environments. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, or related technical field. 3+ years of experience directly managing software engineering teams. 5+ years of software engineering experience involving AI/ML, computer vision, or data-driven products. Strong understanding of machine learning lifecycle including data engineering, model training, deployment, and monitoring. Experience leading Agile software development teams. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Computer Vision, or related field. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience scaling AI/ML solutions from pilot projects to enterprise deployments.
