Account Manager - New Space

Job Overview At SSC Space US, we help Earth benefit from Space. As part of our continued growth in the U.S. market, we are looking for a highly motivated and results‑driven Account Manager for New Space to expand our presence within the rapidly evolving Low Earth Orbit (LEO) ecosystem. Responsibilities Identify, target, develop, and close new business opportunities with LEO satellite operators, launch providers, and New Space ecosystem companies. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth within the New Space vertical. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through direct outreach and partner channels. Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers across commercial and government organizations. Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and technical teams to align customer needs with SSC’s service offerings. Represent SSC at industry conferences, customer meetings, and business development events. Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the LEO market. Contribute to long‑term strategic growth initiatives for SSC’s U.S. business operations. Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within the space, satellite, ground network, or aerospace industry. Proven track record of successfully closing deals with LEO satellite operators and New Space companies. Direct experience selling ground station services, TT&C, EO data downlink, or related satellite communication solutions. Demonstrated success in a hunter‑style sales role with strong pipeline generation capabilities. Strong understanding of the commercial LEO ecosystem and emerging New Space market trends. Experience managing complex technical sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams. Experience working with CRM systems. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. U.S. Citizenship required due to contractual requirements. Preferred Qualifications Existing relationships within the New Space and LEO operator community. Experience selling into U.S. government agencies such as NASA, Department of Defense, or U.S. Space Force. Background in RF communications, satellite operations, aerospace engineering, or related technical fields. Experience operating in international and matrixed business environments.
