As the Sales Operations Specialist, you will serve as the connective tissue between corporate sales strategy and the frontline teams executing it every day. In this role, you will be the trusted resource Sales Advisors, Guides, and Inbound Teams turn to for real-time answers on incentives, escalations, promotions, and rules of engagement. You will own the accurate, policy-compliant execution of customer incentives and goodwill programs, ensuring customers receive the deals they were promised while protecting the business from margin leak. This is a dynamic, changing role it is a role where precision and judgment directly shape customer trust and sales performance. You will validate incentive applications, administer appeasement and goodwill programs, support sales crediting disputes, and help build the reporting that keeps leadership informed on the pulse of the business. Responsibilities:

• Apply customer sales incentives, ensuring every discount or credit is accurate and within policy
• Review incentive usage to prevent margin leak while safeguarding the customer commitments made at the point of sale
• Administer appeasement and goodwill requests, including the gifting of vehicle accessories and distribution of Rivian Rewards points, to resolve customer friction points and reinforce loyalty
• Support fulfillment teams with processing vehicle movements as needed
• Partner with the Sales Operations Manager to build and maintain reporting that tracks the health of the business, including inbound volume, order conversion rates, and incentive usage
• Monitor emerging trends across these metrics to surface issues before they escalate
• Review Sales Advisor pipelines to identify overlooked opportunities
• Support the Sales Operations Manager in arbitrating disputes related to vehicle order and sales crediting
• Assist with manual auditing of compensation crediting as required
• Serve as the frontline resource for Sales Advisors, Guides, and Inbound Teams, providing real-time guidance on complex customer escalations, current promotions, and company policy
• Act as a bridge between frontline sales execution and broader corporate strategy

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in sales operations, sales support, or a related administrative/analytical role, preferably in a direct-to-consumer or high-consideration-sales environment
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to apply policy accurately under time pressure
• Comfortable acting as a resource across teams able to field varied, real-time questions from frontline staff with clarity and confidence
• Experience supporting or building reports that track business performance metrics
• Familiarity with CRM systems and sales crediting or compensation processes preferred
• Ability to balance customer advocacy with business protection (e.g., preventing margin leak while honoring commitments)
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate policy and data into clear guidance for frontline teams

Pay Disclosure:

The hourly range for this role is $34.17 to $42.71 for Illinois and Georgia based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
