The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.***Responsibilities**** Submitting medical documentation/billing data to insurance providers* Researching and appealing denied and rejected claims* Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software including electronic and paper claim processing* Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame* Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payment if necessary* Reviewing insurance payments for accuracy and completeness***Qualifications**** HS, GED, bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred* 2 + years’ experience within Revenue Cycle Management preferred* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within team environment* Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines* Excellent problem-solving skills* Strong communication skills* Familiarity with ICD-10 coding* Competent with computer systems, software and 10 key calculators* Knowledge of medical terminology* Prior EdgePark and/or Cardinal Health at Home Customer Operations preferred***What is expected of you and others at this level**** Applies basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks* Works on projects of limited scope and complexity* Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems* Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions* Develops competence by performing structured work assignments**Anticipated hourly range:** $20.02 per hour - $25.78 per hour**Bonus eligible:** No**Benefits:** Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.* Medical, dental and vision coverage* Paid time off plan* Health savings account (HSA)* 401k savings plan* Access to wages before pay day with myFlexPay* Flexible spending accounts (FSAs)* Short- and long-term disability coverage* Work-Life resources* Paid parental leave* Healthy lifestyle programs**Application window anticipated to close:** 6/01/2026 \*if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
