Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proven experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Confident working with students in K-12, adapting support based on grade and individual needs
• Demonstrated skill in managing and de-escalating aggressive behaviors
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in dynamic classroom situations
• Commitment to maintaining a supportive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Work onsite as part of the classroom team, providing direct assistance to students and instructional support to educators
• Engage with students who may exhibit challenging or aggressive behaviors, employing approved de-escalation strategies
• Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students throughout the school day
• Adapt behavioral and instructional techniques as directed by supervising educators
• Foster a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
• Monitor and document student progress and communicate observations to appropriate staff
