Role Description The Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Module Engineer role is multifaceted. You will play an important role in the OTF engineering team, owning all aspects of one or more of the factory’s 300mm toolsets. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and copy‑exactness of your area, reviewing control charts and tool output daily, maintaining excursion‑free toolsets and layers, achieving 100% matching for all relevant operations, and leading tool installations, conversions, qualifications, and sustained matching performance for new technology start‑ups. You will also drive continuous improvement in tool health and matching, maintain an improvement roadmap, and guide your area to achieve record tool availability, cycle time, and defect density in support of OTF factory goals. Responsibilities Own all aspects of one or more 300mm toolsets, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and copy‑exactness. Review control charts and tool output daily to keep toolsets and layers excursion‑free. Deliver MOR availability and achieve 100% matching for all relevant operations. Lead tool installations, conversions, qualifications, and sustained matching performance for new technology start‑ups. Drive continuous improvement of tool health and matching by maintaining and executing an improvement roadmap. Lead tools and area to achieve record tool availability, cycle time, and record low defect densities. Define roadmaps, flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for new technology processes. Select and develop material and equipment to meet quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity, and manufacturability requirements. Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize the process throughout development cycles. Improve quality, yield, reliability, process stability/capability, productivity, and safety/ergonomic factors. Develop solutions using formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem‑solving tools. Establish and sustain process control systems through volume ramp. Train production/receiving process engineers for transfer to other factories. Transfer process to high volume manufacturing and support new factory start‑ups, including installation and qualification of new production lines. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience OR PhD with 1+ year of experience in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, or related STEM field. Minimum: 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred: Semiconductor Foundry experience. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. Clean room experience. Exceptional customer orientation. Strong knowledge of statistics and experimental design, with the ability to apply that knowledge to tool matching, qualification, and process development. Ability to work across organizational boundaries, including process engineering, integration, and yield. Good communication skills with a high tolerance for ambiguity and change. It consists of competitive pay, stock bonuses, and benefit programs which include health, retirement, and vacation. Annual Salary Range for jobs performed in the US: $103,730.00–$198,820.00USD. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
