Process Engineer

As a Process Engineer II, you will serve as an independent contributor responsible for the design, sizing, and documentation of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment, and Reclaim Water Treatment Systems for semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will develop review-ready technical deliverables, support client and internal technical discussions, and take increasing ownership of defined engineering scopes while collaborating across project, design, automation, and commissioning teams.What’s in it For YouTake ownership of defined process engineering scopes with increasing technical responsibilityCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, design, automation, procurement, construction, and commissioningSupport innovative water treatment solutions focused on complete water circularity capabilitiesParticipate in client design reviews, startup activities, and performance verification effortsContribute to continuous improvement of process standards and engineering best practicesWhat You Will DoPerform system sizing, process calculations, and mass balances for Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment, and Reclaim Water Treatment Systems with senior review as requiredDevelop and maintain process specifications, design bases, and technical narratives aligned with contract documents and client standardsPrepare and maintain P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment lists, and supporting calculations in coordination with design and CAD teamsReview vendor technical data, equipment proposals, and submittals for technical compliance and system integrationSupport client technical discussions, design reviews, and internal coordination meetings by communicating process intent and design assumptionsCoordinate with automation and controls engineers to align process design with control philosophy, sequences of operation, and functional logicProvide technical support to project engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to resolve process-related issuesParticipate in startup and commissioning activities, including troubleshooting and performance verification, as requiredDemonstrate increasing technical ownership of assigned scopes while incorporating feedback from senior engineersContribute to continuous improvement of process standards and best practicesPosition DetailsOnsite at our Vancouver, WA office, Hybrid workPeriodic travel is required to support customer design reviews and startup/commissioning effortsMaximum travel requirement may be up to two weeks at a time, potentially several times per year, depending on project needsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related qualified training from an accredited university is required3 years of related experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experienceWorking knowledge of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater, Reclaim, or Industrial Water Treatment Systems, including core unit operations such as Filtration, ACF, UF, RO, IX/EDI, Solids Separation, Sludge Management, Biological Treatment, and Chemical SystemsFamiliarity with third-party sizing and projection software, including RO, GTM, pumps, Ion Exchange, PIPEFLO, WAVE, PHREEQC, or similar toolsAbility to develop process calculations, system sizing, and mass balances with limited supervision and senior reviewExperience preparing and maintaining process deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, process narratives, equipment lists, and technical specificationsAbility to collaborate effectively with project, mechanical, electrical, automation, and design teams to deliver coordinated and constructible system designsPreferred QualificationsProficiency in AutoCAD Plant3D is a plus.Careers Advancing Ovivo Ultra-Pure Water+ by Ecolab’sWater Technology SolutionsHelp shape the future of water and technology by joining a team that drives innovation in ultrapurewater solutions —critical to industries powering global progress.
