Medical Affairs Specialist

Medical Affairs Specialist role supporting the U.S. Surgical organization in generating scientific evidence, coordinating healthcare professional education, and enabling effective use of medical therapies. Position involves cross-functional collaboration, event logistics, and compliance oversight across multiple Medtronic campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics, contracts, payments, budgeting, and vendor management for medical affairs meetings and events
• Plan and execute healthcare professional education programs, advisory boards, and scientific engagements
• Develop and maintain knowledge of clinical evidence, scientific literature, and U.S. Surgical product portfolio
• Gather competitive intelligence and market insights; communicate findings to internal partners
• Ensure compliance of meeting activities, documentation, and engagements with company and industry regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years in medical affairs, clinical, scientific, or healthcare roles; or advanced degree
• Experience coordinating projects, meetings, events, or cross-functional initiatives
• Budget management, contract, vendor, and payment processing experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at time of hire
• Knowledge of healthcare compliance and professional engagement regulations preferred
• Experience with advisory boards, investigator meetings, or scientific events preferred
