Technical Product Manager:

Our client is looking for a Product Manager (TPM) for HR ERP owns the technical product vision, ability to translate business goals and strategy into clear product goals, internal tool roadmaps, and technical priorities. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the multi-year product roadmap for the HR capabilities of the new ERP, translating the district's central office needs into a prioritized backlog that resultsin tightly coordinated releases aligned to key district, state, and federal needs.
• Responsible for the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring that products remain robust and functional. Patching schedules, Upgrades,
• Translate HR, finance, payroll, and operations needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with Digital Transformation program, infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Client Services, to ensure ERP architecture, integrations, and environments are secure, scalable, and supportable.
• Create and own a prioritized product backlog with defined outcomes and clear metrics to optimize the balance between feature development, stabilization, integrations, and technical debt reduction.
• Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners to align their deliverables with PPS product priorities and contractual obligations.
• Establish and run an ERP product governance cadence (product council, prioritization workshops, release planning) with HR, Finance, Payroll, IT, and Bond program stakeholders.
• Define and track KPI's such as uptime, transaction cycle times, adoption metrics, and defect rates. Recommend best practices to measure, monitor, and publish KPI's to create transparency and progress to plan.
• Collaborate with HR, ELR, and change management to ensure system changes are communicated, understood, and aligned with labor agreements.
• Ensure ERP compliance with relevant policies and regulations (e.g., financial controls, data privacy, FERPA/HR data protections).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, ERP management, or enterprise systems leadership.
• Demonstrated success leading complex ERP or enterprise platform implementations, including integrations and process redesign.
• Strong understanding of HR, and payroll processes, with experience translating them into system configurations and workflows.
• Experience with product management practices such as road mapping, backlog prioritization, agile/iterative delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills. Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business leaders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with K-12 ERP platforms and integrations with Student Information Systems and other district systems.
• Knowledge of education regulations and bond-funded capital program practices.
• Product management or agile certifications (e.g., Certified Product Manager, Scrum Product Owner) are a plus.
