Material HandlerRequired Education High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required Required Certifications Forklift Certification required Required Experience Experience operating material handling equipment including Order Pickers Reach Trucks Counter Balance equipment with slip and clamp attachments and Dock Stockers General distribution and warehouse experience Experience working in a metrics driven distribution environment Material Handling Equipment certification must be maintained as required Preferred Experience Five or more years of relevant experience preferred Experience using RF scanners and voice technology preferred Tech Skills Experience using RF technology for order processing and inventory movement Ability to operate Voice and RF scanner systems Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems SAP experience preferred Ability to read and interpret distribution documents Basic analytical organizational and prioritization skills Soft Skills Good verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with others Ability to work under minimal supervision Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment Ability to complete assigned duties in a timely manner Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions Strong attention to safety quality accuracy and documentation requirements Responsibilities Safely and accurately load and unload inbound and outbound products within the distribution center Process customer orders by scanning bar codes picking products labeling boxes and preparing shipments Pick pack and process orders using RF technology Palletize completed orders by scanning retrieving and placing products on pallets Re palletize products for shipment as needed Perform dock manifest duties including scanning completed pallets and operating shrink wrapping equipment as required Transport pallets using material handling equipment as required Verify shipment accuracy and complete appropriate packaging Use ERP and WMS systems to locate store retrieve and move materials Prepare coordinate and execute documentation for domestic and international shipments as required Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments using WMS processes Handle materials based on inbound and outbound business needs Locate and retrieve products and replenish picking locations Complete required RF device training and maintain necessary system profiles Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all applicable SOPs Complete assigned duties according to department standards and procedures Follow all safety instructions and proper operating practices to prevent injuries and illnesses Maintain current status in required training modules Support SAP related functions and processes as required Operate material handling equipment safely and only when properly designated and certified Report equipment damage maintenance issues injuries accidents unsafe acts hazards and unsafe conditions immediately Maintain material handling equipment in a neat and orderly condition Maintain required equipment certifications Assist in maintaining warehouse security and a safe working environment Report suspicious persons or activities as required Understand and support organizational quality goals Maintain a clean professional and orderly work area Follow facility sanitation and housekeeping guidelines Participate in Hazmat training when provided including general awareness function specific security awareness security plan and safety training Cross train on other warehouse positions and provide backup support during employee absences or vacations Perform other duties as assigned Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Regularly perform walking standing stooping kneeling balancing crouching reaching pushing pulling grasping twisting lifting and repetitive hand and finger movements Occasionally climb as required Lift up to 50 pounds in applicable work areas Work near moving mechanical equipment as required
