Job Details: Job Location: Burlington, WI 53105, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: Not Specified, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Skilled Labor - Trades, American Bin & Conveyor is looking for Fabrication Welder/Fitters to join our 1st-shift manufacturing team in Burlington, Wisconsin. Our Welder/Fitters work from fabrication drawings to layout, fit and weld structural steel components used in custom conveyors, structures and bulk material handling equipment. This is a multi-skilled fabrication position requiring attention to detail, strong measuring skills and the ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints. Measure, layout, fit and tack steel components. Weld in flat, vertical and overhead positions to produce completed assemblies according to fabrication drawings. Use grinders, torches and common fabrication tools. Inspect work for proper fit, dimensions, weld quality and defects. Safely move and position steel components and fabricated assemblies. Follow company safety policies, quality requirements and safe work practices. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS Previous on-the-job welding and/or steel fabrication experience in a manufacturing, fabrication or industrial shop environment preferred. Experience reading and interpreting fabrication drawings/blueprints. Ability to accurately use a tape measure and perform basic shop math. Experience with layout, measuring and fitting steel components. Ability to inspect fabricated parts prior to welding. Fitting and structural steel fabrication experience preferred. Overhead crane and rigging experience preferred. AWS D1.1 welding experience is a plus. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Ability to work overtime as needed.
