TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds Med/Surg RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BCLS and PALS required Must-Have: - Experience in administering chemotherapy - Experience in IV start and lab draw - Chemotherapy experience and certification preferred Description: RTO (request time off) after booking is not allowed. No call-offs or additional RTO on the unit. Any violations could possibly lead to cancellation of the contract. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience is required. 1st time travelers will be accepted with 2 years of experience. Float to Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is required. Every other weekend is required. Patient diagnoses include ages 0-17, medical surgical patients, and hematology/oncology. Target nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6. Unit operates with specified patient age groups including neonates and adolescents. Daily census is approximately 24 patients. Unit utilized is equipped with self-scheduling. Nursing functions include care and management of ports, central lines, and isolation precautions. Chemotherapy monitoring is essential in this role. Phlebotomy skills, including starting and maintaining IVs, are a necessary component of care. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility per job description.
