Job Description

The CNC Operator will learn and perform machine operation on multi-spindle equipment, including gaging, monitoring tool wear, and reading blueprints. This role focuses on keeping machines properly loaded and running, managing chip removal and cutting oil reclaim, and supporting the removal, transport, and packaging of finished parts for shipment. The operator will also run secondary equipment such as saws, belt sanders, and deburring tools, and must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and VMC machines, including multi-spindle equipment, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Learn and apply machine operation techniques, including gaging, tool wear characteristics, and basic troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Keep machines properly loaded and running to maintain consistent production flow.
• Perform chip removal and cutting oil reclaim to maintain clean and efficient machine operation.
• Assist with removal of finished products from machines and prepare parts for transport and shipment.
• Package finished parts securely for shipment according to established procedures.
• Operate secondary equipment such as saws, belt sanders, and deburring tools to complete secondary operations on parts.
• Monitor tool wear and make appropriate adjustments or notify appropriate personnel when tools need replacement or maintenance.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Lift and move materials and parts weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily production activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate CNC and VMC machines.
• Ability to operate multi-spindle machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for machine operation.
• Ability to monitor and respond to tool wear.
• Capability to operate secondary equipment such as saws, belt sanders, and deburring tools.
• Ability to safely lift and handle up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Willingness to learn machine operation, gaging, and best practices for keeping machines running efficiently.

Work Environment

The role begins with a probationary period of approximately 4–8 weeks on first shift, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The position is based in a manufacturing environment operating CNC, VMC, and multi-spindle machines, along with secondary equipment such as saws, belt sanders, and deburring tools. The work involves standing for extended periods, handling metal parts, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Uniforms are provided to support safety and consistency in the workplace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sheboygan, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
