Water Treatment Operator I

Responsibilities Performs a variety of skilled and semi‑skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation and maintenance of water treatment and storage facilities. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Minimum one year experience in a water treatment facility (preferred). Strong electrical and mechanical background. Equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. General knowledge of the operation and maintenance of water treatment and storage facilities, including wells. General understanding of laboratory testing and procedures. Ability to read and understand various manuals, shop drawings and schematics. Ability to work effectively with City staff and officials, as well as other local, state and federal agencies. Valid driver’s license.
