Job Description Opportunity: Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Job Details: Seeking two full-time, long-term locums physicians Monday through Friday office hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Possible travel two days per week to outlying office in Somerset for office hours (30 minutes from main campus) Complete daily hospital rounds and consults during assigned weeks Hospital rounds and consults on Saturday and Sunday during assigned weekends (4 hours per day of onsite work) Oversee advanced practice providers (APPs) Handle after-hours call for clinic critical values or urgent patient matters (no need to return in person) Consulting service only - no hospital admissions required See 12-15 patients per shift Work with comprehensive support staff including infusion nurses, navigators, and medical office assistants Participate in tumor boards and collaborate with radiation oncology services Board certified or board eligible Hematologist/Oncologist required Active PA license or IMLC with letter of qualification required Must complete Pennsylvania mandated training requirements Locums-to-permanent candidates highly favored Facility: This comprehensive medical center features a modern hematology/oncology practice that recently relocated to a state-of-the-art building housing multiple medical specialties and services. The practice is well-staffed with dedicated infusion nurses managing 16 treatment chairs, specialized navigators, and experienced support staff to ensure optimal patient care and workflow efficiency.
