Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Current BLS Certification Epic EMR experience required Experience in Adult Outpatient Clinic settings Experience in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine clinics Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Job Description Position Details Position: Medical Assistant (CMA) Location: Wilmington, NC Schedule: Monday-Friday Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Current BLS Certification Epic EMR experience required Experience in Adult Outpatient Clinic settings Experience in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine clinics Job Responsibilities Room patients and prepare them for provider examinations and consultations. Obtain and document height, weight, pulse oximetry, vital signs, and patient histories. Review and update medications, allergies, and medical information in Epic. Perform point-of-care testing, including blood glucose monitoring and urinalysis. Conduct 12-lead EKGs and assist with diagnostic testing. Collect, label, and process urine specimens and clean-catch samples. Assist with venipuncture and specimen collection when needed. Administer immunizations and injections according to provider orders. Educate patients on diabetes management, medications, and treatment plans. Assist with Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) education and support when applicable. Complete follow-up phone calls and communicate test results as directed. Process pharmacy refill requests and coordinate patient care needs. Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure clinic readiness. Follow aseptic technique, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. Document all care accurately in Epic EMR. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hanker Systems, Inc.
