Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System.

• 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
2 years' experience; however, will consider 18 months of experience, working under the highest level of professional license, and must have 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty.
All RNs are required to complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. RNs are allowed two attempts and must achieve a minimum score of 80% to pass prior to clearance. ICU and ED RNs will also be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test.

Required Credentials:
No temporary licenses accepted.

Unit Details:
Multi-specialty unit; primarily Med/Surg/Telemetry.
Medical patients include dialysis and telemetry monitoring, along with other acute medical needs.
Surgical patient population includes orthopedic procedures (fractures, shoulders, and backs) and general surgery (appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and colon resection).
Supported by a Team Leader who is out of staffing.

Shift & Scheduling:
Holidays as required. Every other weekend. xhyhwjd

Floating Requirements:
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver's license required
