This role is responsible for the end-to-end commercial ownership of vehicle accessories—including supplier strategy, cost management, sourcing governance, and lifecycle execution—from concept through launch and sustained production.Based in the United States (Tempe, AZ or Newark, CA), the Sr. GSM will partner closely with Accessories Engineering, Design, Quality, Planning, Logistics, and Service Operations.This role requires strong strategic judgment, deep supplier expertise, and the ability to balance premium brand expectations, cost discipline, scalability, and speed to market.Key ResponsibilitiesAccessories Sourcing & StrategyOwn the global sourcing strategy for Vehicle Accessories (e.g., floor mats, cargo solutions, covers, adapters, lifestyle accessories)Coordinate the definition of the supplier selection strategy, including make/buy, single vs. dual sourcing, regional vs. global supply modelsPartner with Engineering and Design to influence supplier capability alignment, and cost targetsLead RFQ strategy, supplier down-selection, and business award recommendationsCommercial & Supplier OwnershipIndependently lead complex negotiations covering piece price, tooling, NRE/EDT, MOQs, lead times, and warranty termsOwn and manage Accessories-related MSAs, SOWs, and long-term agreementsAct as the primary commercial escalation point for accessories suppliersEnsure supplier commercial compliance with Lucid policies and accessory business requirementsDevelopment, Launch & Lifecycle ManagementPartner with SQE and Engineering on APQP, PPAP, View email address on job-api.jobget.com, and launch readiness for accessory programsEnsure Accessories suppliers meet quality, timing, and branding expectationsOwn end-to-end lifecycle management, including cost reductions, running changes, dual sourcing, and end-of-life strategiesDrive smooth transitions from development to series production and service sustainmentCost, Performance & Risk ManagementOwn cost savings and cost avoidance targets for the Accessories portfolioEstablish and review supplier scorecards (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)Identify and mitigate supply, cost, and capacity risks proactivelyMonitor market trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies relevant to accessoriesLeadership & Cross-Functional InfluenceServe as the Accessories commercial lead across Service, Engineering, Design, Quality, Planning, Finance, and LegalMentor and guide GSM-level team members supporting regional executionProvide executive-level reporting on Accessories sourcing status, supplier health, cost outlook, and launch readinessDrive standardization and scalable processes for Accessories sourcing globallyQualificationsBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience8+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles, in an automotive or manufacturing environment, for Direct Materials (preferred)Proven success leading strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations for finished goods and assembliesExperience supporting product development and launch cyclesStrong understanding of quality systems, lifecycle cost management, and supplier performance managementAdvanced analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsExcellent executive communication and stakeholder management capabilityProficiency in SAP/ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint, and program management toolsAbility to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, premium-brand, growth environmentAt Lucid, we don’t just welcome diversity - we celebrate it! Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
