Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor vital signs including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, and level of consciousness as patients recover from anesthesia
• Ensure airway patency and adequate respiratory function, with rapid intervention for obstruction or respiratory distress
• Administer medications for pain management, nausea control, and fluid maintenance to promote patient comfort
• Assess surgical sites for bleeding or complications, check dressings, and perform comprehensive physical assessments
• Recognize and respond to adverse reactions to anesthesia or surgical complications with appropriate emergency interventions
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) certification
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Availability for on-call and weekend shifts
