About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - EKG monitoring experience - Experience with remote telemetry monitoring - Charge nurse experience preferred Description: The position requires a registered nurse with experience in monitoring patients, including those on telemetry. The registered nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on medical/surgical needs. Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to a policy regarding attendance and tardiness. The registered nurse will float to other units to ensure optimal patient care as needed. Skills in accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and performing tracheostomy care are important. Candidates should be proficient in using the electronic health record system. Responsibilities also include pre/post-operative care, management of various medical devices, and conducting patient assessments. Candidates must be knowledgeable regarding isolation precautions and emergency response protocols. All applicants must be prepared to pass a required EKG exam during the compliance phase. This role will include supporting the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. The environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication skills.
