Executive Kitchen & Operations Manager (Multi-Unit Growth Opportunity)

This is a hands-on leadership position. We are looking for someone who is equally comfortable developing systems and managing teams as they are working a station, supporting production, packing catering orders, receiving deliveries, training staff, and ensuring successful execution during busy service periods.

The ideal candidate leads from the floor, not from an office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily back-of-house operations across multiple locations and business units

• Manage kitchen production, prep, line execution, and quality control

• Supervise commissary and grab-and-go production

• Coordinate catering and event execution

• Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop kitchen teams

• Maintain food quality, consistency, and operational standards

• Implement and improve SOPs, systems, and production processes

• Manage inventory, purchasing, food cost, and labor cost controls

• Ensure compliance with all DOH, food safety, and sanitation requirements

• Work closely with ownership to support growth initiatives and new openings

QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years of leadership experience in culinary operations

• Experience managing catering, production kitchens, cafés, or multi-unit operations preferred

• Strong leadership and team-development skills

• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

• Hands-on management style with a positive attitude

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-moving environment

• NYC Food Handler Certification required or willingness to obtain

• Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends for events

COMPENSATION

$80,000–$100,000 annually

Higher compensation may be available for candidates with extensive multi-unit, catering, production, and operational leadership experience.
