CNC Machinist

CNC Mill-Lathe Machinist Location: Sanford, NC Schedule: Second Shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday) A precision metal components manufacturer is seeking two experienced CNC Machinists to join its tool and die team on second shift. In this role, you will set up and run CNC and manual equipment to build the tooling and dies that keep production moving. This is a great fit for a hands-on machinist who takes pride in accurate work and wants to join a stable, team-oriented shop where many employees have built long careers. CNC Machinist Responsibilities: -Set up, load, and operate CNC machines to produce tools and dies -Pull up and load CNC programs to the machine -Operate manual machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and drills -Set up die blocks on machine beds and set cutters in holders, adjusting height and length as needed -Read blueprints and drawings to determine operations, specifications, and tolerances -Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools, and finish parts using hand tools -Sharpen cutting tools and handle routine machine upkeep such as oiling, greasing, and cleaning to 5S standards -Use a forklift or overhead crane to move, store, and retrieve tool and die assemblies CNC Machinist Requirements: -3 or more years of tool making experience -Apprenticeship certification or Journeyman license preferred -Strong blueprint reading skills with a solid understanding of tolerances By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, Al-generated calls, text messages, or emails from Synerfac Technical Staffing and our contracted partners.
