Special Education Teacher

Responsibilities Create a classroom environment that cultivates learning, engages students, and enables them to perform at their best. Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through a variety of activities that promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Explore individual needs and provide side‑by‑side support to discover each student’s learning style and develop personalized solutions. Implement the proven curriculum and guide students toward achievement of curriculum goals. Evaluate student learning capabilities and celebrate accomplishments. Encourage students to uphold school values and model mature behavior. Participate in events outside normal hours and remain physically active throughout the school day, including light lifting, standing, and traveling between campuses as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher. Current K‑12 Special Education teaching certificate (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe) in the state where the position is located.
