Job Description
The Saw Operator position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining saws to cut materials accurately according to specifications, ensuring quality and safety in manufacturing processes.
- Operate and set up saws : Adjust saw blades, guides, and stops to cut materials such as wood, metal, plastics, or stone to specified dimensions based on blueprints or work orders.
- Quality inspection : Use measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify that finished pieces meet specifications and quality standards.
- Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn blades or components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Safety compliance : Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and organized work area
Pay: $16-20/hour
Shift: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:45pm
