Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental practice. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and a solid understanding of dental administrative support.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
• Schedule appointments using software, ensuring optimal patient flow.
• Manage medical documentation, including review and filing of patient records.
• Handle medical collections and insurance verifications efficiently.
• Maintain health information management protocols to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Assist in coding procedures using ADA code standards for accurate billing.
• Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls and responding to inquiries.
• Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless operations and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in Athenahealth or similar medical scheduling software is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Familiarity with medical documentation review and health information management practices.
• Knowledge of medical collection processes and insurance verification procedures.
• Basic understanding of ADA coding is desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
