Key Responsibilities of the ICU RN

• Provide intensive care to patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, arrhythmias, and those requiring detoxification
• Administer and titrate medications including propofol, insulin, and levo drips
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips for ICU and med-surg patients
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including house supervisors and respiratory therapists
• Float to the med-surg unit if census is low and as needed

Requirements of the ICU RN

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
• Proven ICU experience
• Ability to titrate drips effectively
