Job Title: Assembler

City and State: Marengo, IL

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Saturday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Employment Type: Temp

Summary


Our client is seeking Assemblers to help assemble and build forklifts that are distributed worldwide. This role works on a moving assembly line in a very clean, fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. Candidates will assemble different forklift components based on placement and perform quality checks to ensure production standards are met. This position offers a pay increase once 720 hours are completed .

Responsibilities

• Assemble forklifts and sub-assemblies including mechanical, basic electrical, and hydraulic components
• Work on a moving assembly line following prescribed process sheets and work instructions
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and simple schematics
• Perform quality checks on assigned components and completed assemblies
• Use hand and power tools and move materials as required

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work instructions
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
• Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
• Willing and able to perform the essential functions of the job

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
