Membership Advocacy and Communications Coordinator

PAC is hiring an entry-level coordinator to keep our members connected and grow their involvement in our advocacy. In this highly visible, relationship-driven role, you\'ll help lead PAC\'s voice on social media and in our newsletter, and serve as a direct point of contact helping independent physicians plug into advocacy campaigns, legislative meetings, and PAC events. It\'s a great fit for a strong writer early in their career who is comfortable running social accounts and energized by getting people involved. What You\'ll Do Help lead PAC\'s social media — planning, writing, and posting content on legislation, regulatory news, and PAC events. Help write and produce the member newsletter (legislative updates, event recaps, member spotlights) and support guest booking and question prep for the PAC & Forth podcast. Reach out to members and prospective members by phone, email, and at events to build relationships and grow participation in PAC\'s advocacy. Recruit and coordinate physicians for advocacy meetings, webinars, and other PAC events, from invitations through day-of logistics. Work with PAC\'s contract lobbyists and consultants to turn legislative and regulatory activity into content members can understand and act on. Track member engagement in PAC\'s systems and flag members who could be re-engaged. Represent PAC at advocacy meetings, political events, and with partner organizations. What We\'re Looking For 1–2 years of experience in communications, marketing, membership, or a related field (internships and relevant coursework count), and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Strong, clean writing that adapts across social posts, newsletters, and member emails. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, social media platforms, Canva, and email/newsletter tools. A people-person, comfortable picking up the phone and building rapport with busy physicians and practice staff. Highly organized, with the follow-through to manage outreach lists, events, and deadlines. Curiosity about healthcare policy, advocacy, or California politics — no policy background required. Willingness to attend Capitol visits and political and fundraising events, including some evenings and in-state travel. #J-18808-Ljbffr Physician Association of California
