Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology Technologist position available in Tyler, Texas. This role involves assisting with complex vascular and neuro radiology procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, computed tomography, laser, and ultrasonography equipment. The technologist will support patient care, procedural workflows, and inventory management within a 650-bed hospital setting, contributing to efficient and safe interventional radiology services.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an accepted equivalent; one year of training or experience in specialized procedures/interventional radiology; basic computer skills; current Texas state licensure as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT); Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); one year of experience in vascular and neuro procedures.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced certifications related to interventional radiology and additional clinical experience.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing during procedures, patient teaching, assisting with patient care within scope of practice, inventory management, and schedule coordination. The role requires flexibility to work other shifts or campuses as needed, adherence to departmental policies, and compliance with all regulatory standards. Troubleshooting equipment and following PACS downtime procedures are essential aspects of the position.
