Safety Manager

Leesel Transportation Corp. The safety manager is responsible for ensuring that employees within the organization comply with safety programs that guide the transportation industry. The safety manager needs to partner with the operations team to ensure drivers and other team members are performing the duties of their role in a safe manner to ensure client services are delivered to high standards. Responsibilities Ensure the entire workplace (including employees) follows industry, state, and company-related safety guidelines or rules. Conduct routine safety audits. Carry out safety training programs for company employees on a regular basis. Develop processes to collect data on causes of accidents. Implement initiatives to reduce the level of work‑related accidents and/or occupational hazards. Direct and supervise general safety guidelines and procedures. Investigate accidents to determine their causes. Inspect and monitor daily operations of employees to ensure compliance with safety policies and laws. Inspect and check organization’s equipment and machinery to ensure they are safe. Report to company’s top management regarding safety adjustments required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Three (3) years of safety management experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience. College degree in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Business Management, Business Administration, or equivalent. SBDI School bus driving instructor 19‑A examiner preferred. Details Shift: Monday to Friday, scheduled from 5:30am to 6:00pm. Salary: $100,000 – $109,000 per year (negotiated during interview). Location: 3900 Webster Ave, Bronx.
