From helping you prepare for your tests to listening carefully to your questions and clearly explaining everything you need to know, you’ll appreciate our careful attention and support.Job Description:The Radiologic Technologist provides diagnostic imaging services using radiographic and fluoroscopic technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. This role performs imaging procedures, image processing, and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by a radiologist or licensed independent practitioner. The Radiologic Technologist applies professional judgment, upholds high ethical standards, and adapts to varying patient conditions to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality exams.Executes ionizing radiation to patients to take x-ray images in the safest manner possible.Prepares room, equipment, and materials as needed for patients daily.Participates in CQI activities and provides input for improvement.Provides directions to patients regarding radiologic exams. Provides education to patients regarding their ordered exams.Cleans and disinfects x-ray room and equipment after each exam.Maintains adequate and proper records.Prepares barium and other chemical mixtures for x-rays.Must pass initial competency test and yearly competency testing thereafter.Will assume other duties applicable to the operation of the Radiology Department as needed.
