Travel Registered Nurse - SICU - Night Shift
Location: Wichita, KS
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes accurately
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Assist in various procedures including chest tube placements and central line insertions
- Utilize advanced ICU equipment such as balloon pumps and ECMO
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 1-year current hospital ICU experience
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Preferred prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities
