Production Manager – Glass Manufacturing

(Shifts Available: 9pm-7am OR 1pm-11pm)

This Production Manager role focuses on overseeing daily production operations, workforce leadership, quality performance, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals are achieved

• Supervise, coach, and develop production teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

• Monitor production schedules, labor utilization, and workflow to maximize efficiency and meet customer requirements

• Coordinate closely with maintenance, quality, shipping, and warehouse teams to support seamless operations

• Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives including 5S programs

• Monitor operational metrics and KPIs including safety, scrap, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery

• Support equipment reliability initiatives and partner with maintenance teams to minimize downtime

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and workplace safety initiatives

• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management activities for production personnel

• Support inventory management, material flow, and production reporting accuracy

• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

• Communicate production updates and operational needs to plant leadership

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of glass manufacturing experience required

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment required

• Experience within glass fabrication, tempering, laminating, insulating glass, or related glass manufacturing environments preferred

• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization initiatives

• Strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and manufacturing workflows

• Strong leadership, employee development, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or SAP experience preferred

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000
