Medical Records Collector -Personal Injury Law Firm

About the Role: Lagstein Law Firm is looking for a detail-oriented Medical Records Collector to join our dynamic personal injury team in Los Angeles, CA. This is a critical role where your organizational skills directly impact the success of our clients' cases. If you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and take pride in precision and follow-through, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: Request, track, and obtain medical records, bills, and related documentation from hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers Maintain organized and up-to-date records in the case management system Follow up persistently with medical providers to ensure timely receipt of records Review incoming records for completeness and accuracy before forwarding to attorneys Communicate with clients, medical offices, and legal staff regarding records status Prepare and send HIPAA-compliant authorizations and record request letters Log and track all outstanding requests and deadlines to support case timelines Requirements: Prior experience in medical records retrieval, personal injury law, or a related legal/medical field preferred Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record request procedures Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume caseload Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet strict deadlines Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus About Us: Lagstein Law Firm is a dedicated boutique personal injury law firm based in Los Angeles, CA, committed to fighting for the rights of injured clients and delivering results that make a real difference in people's lives.
