Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Nights (18:45–07:15) | Expected 36–48 hours/week | 13-week assignment or longer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown unit with a 1:6 patient ratio and an average daily census of 23
• Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry for patients with diagnoses including cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, heart failure, DKA, uncontrolled diabetes, post-heart catheterization, post-PPM, and post-ICD
• Administer and manage cardiac drips; note that blood pressure titration is not required on this unit
• Perform IV starts and utilize telemetry monitoring as core clinical skills
• Document accurately using EPIC (SBAR format) and access medications via PYXIS
• Float within or near the facility as required; complete 8 weekend shifts and work 2 of 3 major holidays per contract expectations

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure may be considered at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Cardiac Telemetry experience is required , as this is a dedicated Cardiac Tele unit
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS)
• Local candidates are welcome; please note that a local rate applies for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior Stepdown, IMC, or Telemetry/Stepdown unit experience strongly preferred
• First-time travelers will be considered, with Stepdown experience preferred
• Strong teamwork skills; this unit operates without charge nurses, requiring collaborative, self-directed practice
