Pay: $23.00/hour

Schedule: Up to 30 hours/week, with shifts between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented Vehicle Operator to support an innovative on-demand transportation service in Grand Rapids and surrounding communities.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced driver who is comfortable working with emerging vehicle technologies and enjoys providing a safe, clean, and welcoming experience for passengers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles equipped with advanced technology and accessibility features.
• Provide on-demand transportation services throughout Grand Rapids and neighboring communities.
• Safely assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles.
• Support passengers who use wheelchairs, including helping with ramps and vehicle access.
• Communicate professionally with passengers and the operations team.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure the interior and exterior are presentable.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and operational protocols.
• Document daily activities, observations, and operational summaries.
• Provide feedback and suggestions to improve vehicle comfort, appearance, and the overall passenger experience.
• Remain calm and effective when handling unexpected or challenging situations.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a strong/impeccable driving record.
• Comfortable operating vehicles equipped with advanced technology.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Customer-service-oriented mindset with professional communication skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes and accurately document daily activities.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to assist passengers with mobility needs, including wheelchair users.
• Comfortable working independently as well as with an operations team.
• Enthusiasm for emerging transportation and mobility technologies.

Preferred: Background or experience in electronics, mechanical systems, automotive technology, computing, or a related field.

Schedule

• Part-time, up to 30 hours per week
• Shifts available between 10:00 AM and 9:00 PM
• Weekend availability is appreciated
• Multiple shift options are currently available
