Medical Assistant or Clinical Team Assistant

Pen Bay Hospital is looking for a compassionate Medical Assistant or Clinical Team Assistant to support providers and patients through every stage of care. From helping coordinate visits to creating a comforting and supportive experience, you'll play an important role in improving the quality of life for patients and their families. This is a full-time, 36-hour per week position.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis).
2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

1. Education: High School Diploma preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or outpatient hospital setting preferred.
4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: This role will participate and complete an established training program approved by MaineHealth with the expectation of obtaining certification and transitioning to a Medical Assistant position within one year of eligibility.
