School Social Worker

Make a Difference in the Lives of Students Youth Consultation Service (YCS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our educational team. In this role, you will provide counseling, advocacy, crisis intervention, and family support services to help students achieve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success. Responsibilities Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices Conduct assessments to identify student needs and barriers to learning Develop and implement student support plans in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families Participate in IEP development and meetings Provide crisis intervention services when needed Promote student attendance and address truancy concerns Address bullying and harassment concerns and support school safety initiatives Connect students and families with community resources and support services Maintain accurate documentation of services, contacts, and student progress Participate in staff meetings, supervision, educational conferences, and professional development activities Build and maintain partnerships with community agencies and residential programs Qualifications Required Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy New Jersey Department of Education School Social Worker Certification Strong understanding of student social-emotional development and school-based interventions Excellent communication, collaboration, and crisis management skills What We Offer Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package Professional development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families Additional Requirements Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete all required background screenings, including criminal background checks, child abuse registry checks, central registry checks, drug testing, and physical examinations as applicable.
