You have a passion for working in different care settings and making a difference in lives.Job Purpose: As a Co-Occurring Disorders Counselor at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions in order to provide direct service time in professional level counseling and education to adult residential clients.
Job Functions
- Providing counseling as needed
- Assessing clients for appropriate levels of care in accordance with ASAM criteria
- Collecting and preparing client information during stabilization and evaluation period
- Interfacing clinically with all Aspire clinical programs
- Demonstrating working knowledge regarding Baker Act, Marchman Act, Crisis Management, DSM IV and impairment levels
- Participating in Clinical Treatment Teams
- Working when needed to provide 24/7 coverage
- Adhering to DC&F, SAMH, CARF and other outside funding sources and/or accrediting agencies requirements and guidelines
- Receiving incoming calls and making appropriate referrals
- Assisting in providing training to new employees
- Ensuring the timely completion of SA&MH outcome measures, completing all required paperwork
- Participating in both verbal and de-escalation of a stressful situation
- Utilizing required technology to communicate effectively
- Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
- Level II Background clearance
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire insurance company as described in the AHP Corporate Transportation Policy 3.9.1
- Master Degree Required
