Description:

The Senior Exploration Geologist serves as the technical expert for the Stibnite Gold Project (SGP), providing geological and economic expertise to stakeholders. This role leads and supports exploration activities, including drilling programs, field mapping, sampling, data analysis, and geologic modeling. The position helps plan, budget, and execute exploration programs safely and efficiently while ensuring geologic data is accurately collected, managed, and integrated to maximize project value. The Exploration Geologist works closely with Technical Services and Corporate Exploration teams to advance and expand mineral resources, reserves, and future production opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

EH&S

· Maintain and demonstrate Perpetua's commitment to safety and environmental protection as core values.

· Ensure good environmental, health, and safety practices are in place, consistently meeting or exceeding regulatory and company standards.

· Promote and integrate sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact, aligning with corporate responsibility goals and community expectations.

Team Leadership and Management

· Mentor and develop a team of subordinate geologists and exploration sampling technicians.

· Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the geology department.

· Identify the highest priority and critical work fronts to direct staff.

· Coordinate training programs to enhance the exploration team skills and knowledge.

Geological Modeling and Resource Management

· Conduct the development, maintenance, and updating of 3D geological models associated with exploration prospects.

· Collaborate with mine Technical Services and Planning teams to delineate and develop plans to explore potential deposit expansion opportunities

· Plan and execute geologic data collection, compilation, and integration across multiple disciplines (geochemistry, geophysics, structural geology, etc.) and report the results to management

· Support project activities and reporting under NI 43-101 and S-K 1300 standards for PEA/IA to FS levels.

· Collaborate with Production Geology (ore control) to develop and implement reconciliation practices that measure and report resource model performance during operations, driving continuous improvement in model accuracy.

Data Collection and Analysis

· Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and data collection throughout district exploration area.

· Ensure timely and accurate analysis of exploration sediment, soil, rock and drill data

· Evaluate assay results and provide interpretations.

· Direct and manage the maintenance, organization, and updating of geological and historical mining data into research-ready datasets and secure archives.

· Maintain accurate, comprehensive technical data packages to support effective collaboration with industry specialists, consultants, and technical experts.

· Conduct QA/QC analysis and procedures on all geologic investigations and datasets developed or utilized.

Budget Management and Reporting

· Plan, propose, and execute budgets for exploration activities to support the corporate goals of increased mineral resource and mine life elongation.

· Collaborate with Technical Service and management on selection of contractors and manage report and reconcile budgets.

· Develop written and graphical information related to job duties and present them to internal and external audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Act as the technical lead for exploration in interactions with regulatory agencies, community representatives, and joint venture or investment partners.

· Prepare and deliver technical presentations to corporate leadership, investors, and other stakeholders.

· Represent the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and community outreach events.

Strategic Planning and Innovation

· Evaluate and prioritize exploration targets using risk-reward criteria aligned with corporate objectives

· Promote innovation in data collection, processing, and modeling to improve discovery success rates and reduce costs.

· Collaborate with Strategic Mine Planning to ensure exploration activities and target development are aligned with long-term mine design, sequencing, and production objectives.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in hard rock mineral exploration.

· Minimum of 4 years of field geology experience.

· Proficiency with one or more drill data management and geological modeling and resource estimation software such as Leapfrog, MineSight, MicroMine, acQuire, Target, Vulcan, Surpac, Datamine, MX Deposit, or similar platforms.

· Strong technical writing and communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

· Master's degree in Geology or a related field.

· Ten (10) or more years of experience in hard rock mineral exploration.

· Experience with GIS and graphics software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Geosoft Oasis, Surfer, or similar applications.

· Experience supporting mineral resource estimation and mine development projects.

· Experience working in sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic geological environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Advanced knowledge of ore deposit geology and mineral exploration principles.

· In-depth knowledge of sampling techniques, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures, and statistical analysis methods for geological data.

· Strong understanding of applied structural geology and the ability to apply geological concepts to exploration programs.

· Knowledge of volumetric methods and mineral resource estimation practices.

· Understanding of geographic and geodetic projection systems and GIS principles.

· Demonstrated field geology skills, including geologic mapping, alteration mapping, and structural analysis.

· Ability to analyze, interpret, and integrate geological data from multiple sources to support exploration decision-making.

· Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.

· Knowledge of mining industry health and safety standards and field safety best practices.

· Ability to communicate technical information effectively to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
