Job Description:


- Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM
- Location: 1201 W. 38th St., Austin, TX 78705
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN) in a Level 3 NICU
- Unit Details:
- 84 licensed beds, divided between 2 floors
- Supportive staff including Charge RN, Code Neonatal RN, Clerk, and Milk Tech
- Wear navy blue scrubs
- Flexibility: Must be open to scheduling; no block scheduling available
- Responsibilities:
- Functional floating across all units within and outside the Women's Hospital
- No patient assignment while floating
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Compass Cerner

Credentialing Requirements:


- License Verification:
- Nursys for Submission: True
- License/Certificate Verification for Submission: True
- Core Competencies:
- Ascension Specialty Exam: Required for Onboarding
- Ascension Unit Specific Checklist: Optional


- Personal Health History:
- Mandatory Health Assessments for Onboarding:
- Ascension Color Vision
- MMR
- Fit Test
- Hepatitis B
- Influenza Vaccine
- Varicella
- Tdap
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)
- Positive PPD - Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire (Optional)


- Professional Requirements:

- Ascension Profile: For Submission
- Criminal Background Check: Required for Onboarding
- Education Verification: Required for Onboarding
