The Vermont Veterans' Home is currently recruiting LNAs to join a compassionate team dedicated to providing best in class care to our Country's Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents. We are dedicated to providing a professional and fun environment where staff may thrive and grow all while giving back to our Nations Heroes. Our staff provide person-centered, trauma informed care to residents with a wide range of physical and psychiatric disorders. This position involves patient care and treatment work at the aide level in a long-term care setting, working an assigned shift. Work assignments are performed under the direction of a Licensed Practical Nurse and/or Registered Nurse. In-service training courses are required and staff are encouraged to pursue continuing education. Current openings are on the evening shift, which is 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Starting pay may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Shift differentials apply to evening and weekend hours.

This position, Licensed Nursing Assistant (Job Requisition #53514), is open to all State employees and external applicants. This is a temporary position. Temporary work is typically for variable hours and is not expected to be full-time. The State does not guarantee 40 hours of work per week. Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position, including Vermont and national criminal record checks, adult and child abuse registry checks, the Office of Inspector General exclusion database, and motor vehicle driving record checks where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications: Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA). NOTE: Must maintain licensure as a condition of employment.

Special Requirements: Overtime work is required to maintain minimum staffing levels per regulation and is a condition of employment. The ability to work overtime as required is considered an essential function of this job class.
