Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) - High Risk Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled High Risk OB Ultrasound Technician for a 13‑week travel assignment in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role involves performing invasive and non‑invasive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and managing high‑risk pregnancies while ensuring accurate, high‑quality imaging and prioritizing patient education, safety, and comfort. Location: Greensboro, North Carolina. The High‑Risk OB Ultrasound Technician specializes in performing invasive and non‑invasive obstetric and gynecological ultrasound procedures to assist in diagnosing and managing high‑risk pregnancies. They ensure accurate, high‑quality imaging, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide detailed findings to consulting providers while prioritizing patient education, safety, and comfort. Essential Work Functions Assist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under the guidance of physicians or RRTs. Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders. Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples. Administer respiratory treatments, including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy. Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate. Observe and record patient status and progress. Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CRT practice. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. Minimum one year of experience as a High‑Risk OB Ultrasound Technician. Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC). Valid ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations. Preferred Qualifications Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS). Current ARRT Certification in Sonography. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical, Interpersonal, Technical, and Mental Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Must work effectively with a variety of personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism. Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; sometimes work under close supervision and sometimes without assistance. Must contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and maintain continuous concentration on detail. Must possess visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.
