This role is responsible for providing quality assurance tasks as part of the implementation projects.The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, the ability to solve complex business problems using technology and data solutions, and a proven track record of working multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.What you will doQA and Test team members may hold multiple rolls across a given project or projects. The following are the role definitions as part of the Project Delivery projects.Release ManagerResponsible for coordinating and release efforts to deliver newly packaged builds to the client. This roll also is the project QA lead working with all other QA members.Project Test LeadAttend all internal general project callsEnsure triage best practices are followedAssist with triage review and assignments, defects contain all required informationCoordinate with Module QAs for defect verification prior to releaseCoordinate with Module Devs for build releasesCommunicate with PM the release status, concerns, and expected release contents and defectsSmoke test the full release in the client environmentCreate the Release Notes in PDF format for distributionPackage and publish the releaseEmail full project (SBS and Client) team that release is published and availableEnsure defect tracker is updated for Status and assignee post releaseAssist PMs with scheduling releasesTeamForge project admin (if used)Work with PMs for test readiness for project test phase transitionsWork with PMs for release and triage cadence cycles through project timelineWork with PMs for meeting test cycle exit criteriaAssist with E2E WIP preparation as neededSystem TestResponsible for the creation and execution of the End to End (E2E) system test prior to SIT to ensure all high-level requirements have been met and successfully configured.Work with the client to gather two or three common simple workflow scenariosDecide with the client which workflow scenario will be used for the E2E WIPCreate E2E WIP script document and provide to the clientWork with the client for presentation of the E2E WIP and stepsCreate the E2E System Tests ensuring all high-level requirements are capturedProvide the System Tests to the client as examples for E2E test scripts for SIT and UATCoordinate with Module QA concerning testing status prior to executionExecute the System Test scripts in the client environment prior to SITReport and work with development team and Module QA for any defects foundRaise issues with PM, development, and Module QA concerning test readiness concernsModule QAResponsible for module specific functional (unit) testing through the entire project. May be assigned to one or many modules (AUD/UDH-EAM/UDH-GIS/PB). For modules assigned:Attend requirement gathering meetingsAttend all internal general project meetingsUnit test all detailed requirements in Build phaseWork closely with the module development lead concerning all requirement testing and defect itemsAttend and eventually lead OTS sessionsAttend all project SIT and UAT triage callsVerify defects fixed prior to release in SIT and UAT phasesSupport System Test creation and execution as neededSupport Release Manager prior to release as neededWhat skills you should haveMinimum of 3+ years of QA experienceProven experience managing medium to large, complex projectsExperience working in consulting or professional services environmentsStrong understanding of technology, information systems, data, and business processesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Skills that stand outExperience in utilities or energy industryExperience leading technical and functional teams in a client-facing environmentFamiliarity with system integrations and enterprise software implementationsCore CompetenciesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical teams and executive leadershipStrong planning, organization, and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentProven ability to resolve conflicts and drive positive outcomesSkilled in scope management, prioritization, and negotiationSelf-motivated, independent, and proactiveStrong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and align teams around a common goalWork EnvironmentClient-facing role with potential travel depending on project needsFast-paced, collaborative, and deadline-driven environment
