Paid for actual time worked; there are no paid vacation or sick days. During NYPA and Canals holidays, the business is closed, and no work is permitted. NYPA requires a hybrid schedule of a minimum of 3 days on-site, up to including fully on-site depending on department requirements. CWPO Engagement Requirements Candidates are REQUIRED to be local to the Tri-State area and in W2 tax status as an hourly paid employee of Service Provider. Fully remote positions are prohibited. Hybrid schedules are permissible with a minimum of 3 days on-site depending on assignment and can be fully on-site depending on business needs. Remote work privileges can be revoked at any time. NYPA does not provide laptops. Instead, NYPA provides desktops and dedicated workstations which candidates will remote into from their personal equipment on virtual days. If candidate does not have proper equipment, internet connection, or he/she is deemed to not work effectively from home, the hybrid privilege will be revoked. Vendors must disclose foreign national status and all Visas at the time of candidate submission. Project Overview Team is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for a consulting role to support ongoing and future projects. The consultant will be instrumental in developing and maintaining sophisticated applications using .NET Core and Python for backend development, and React or NextJS for frontend development. This role requires significant expertise in deploying applications to Azure App Services, managing code repositories via DevOps or GitHub, and utilizing Azure managed identities for secure resource access. Additionally, the candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of Azure AD and Azure B2C authentication. Job Functions & Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications using .NET Core and Python. Design and implement responsive and dynamic user interfaces using React or NextJS. Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services. Collaborate closely with NYPA's teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and translate them into detailed technical specifications. Utilize DevOps or GitHub for efficient version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes. Deploy and manage applications on Azure App Services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. Implement and manage Azure managed identities to ensure secure access to resources. Integrate Azure AD and Azure B2C authentication into applications to manage user identities and access securely. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application issues to maintain high performance and responsiveness. Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold code quality standards and foster knowledge-sharing within the team. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance development practices. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment. Skills Extensive experience in backend development using .NET Core and Python. Advanced proficiency in frontend technologies such as React or NextJS. Strong knowledge of RESTful API development and integration with third-party services. Familiarity with SQL Server or other relational databases and ORM frameworks. Deep understanding of version control systems and CI/CD pipelines, specifically using DevOps or GitHub. Expertise in deploying and managing applications on Azure App Services. Strong knowledge of Azure managed identities for secure and efficient resource access. Comprehensive knowledge of Azure AD and Azure B2C authentication for managing user identities and access securely. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
