Join us.About the Role: The Professional Services Billing Analyst is responsible for managing the billing processes, which include creating invoices, tracking payments, resolving billing issues and ensuring accurate financial records for professional services.What You'll Do:Own the operational and financial lifecycle of projects, from contract review through invoicing and closeoutSet up and manage project terms in the ERP system; monitor WIP and project financial performancePrepare, submit, and support accurate project invoicing and assist with AR as neededPartner with Project Managers, Accounting, and Leadership to ensure financial health and fee alignmentPrepare monthly reporting, financial analysis, and ad hoc insights to support leadership decision-makingLead or support meetings focused on project financial and operational statusWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of experience in professional services billingStrong understanding of ERP/billing systems and financial reportingHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsProficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAssociate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferredMinimum (Required) Qualifications & Skills:High School Diploma/GED required.5+ years of experience in professional services billing.Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, the office equipment, recordkeeping systems, management information systems, and related protocols used in the organization.Computer literacy and ability to learn time tracking and billing system(s).Understanding of schedules and deadlines.Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Professional and tactful interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a variety of personalities.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwarePreferred Qualifications:Associate's degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance or related field.**This position can be in NYC, Miami, Chicago, Dallas or Houston.**At DeSimone Consulting Engineering, we're committed to transparency—especially when it comes to compensation. The salary range listed reflects what we believe, in good faith, is a fair and competitive range for this role based on the market and location. This is a salaried, exempt position with an anticipated base salary range of $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Most candidates are typically hired near the midpoint of the range, ensuring a balanced and equitable approach across our team. That said, we recognize exceptional talent. In cases where a candidate brings significantly more experience or specialized expertise than required, we may consider an offer toward the higher end of the range.
