Flight Test Engineer

Pay : 60-70/hr


Location: Newton, KS


Assignment Type: Contract


Work Schedule: Flexible schedule required. Testing activities may require early morning starts and extended hours based on flight operations.

Job Description


We are seeking a Flight Test Engineer to support aircraft testing efforts focused on environmental control systems and overall aircraft performance. This role will be responsible for coordinating test activities, monitoring aircraft systems during flight operations, analyzing performance data, and delivering detailed engineering reports.


Key Responsibilities

• Participate in flight test planning, preparation, execution, and post-test analysis activities
• Monitor aircraft systems during flight operations and communicate with flight and engineering teams
• Analyze flight data and system performance to identify trends and anomalies
• Review engineering schematics, technical drawings, and documentation
• Prepare post-flight reports and communicate findings to stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related discipline
• Experience supporting flight test programs or aircraft systems within ECS and IADS
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong analytical and communication skills
