Assistant Controller

Wisdom Teeth Guys is looking for an Assistant Controller to assist in the Controller developing accounting policies and oversee all financial procedures of our company!If you consider yourself one of the most detail oriented, hardest working and most organized people you know this might be for you!Wisdom Teeth Guys is a rapidly expanding DSO (dental support organization) supporting practices in Utah, Texas and Arizona. We are the premier provider of support services for stand alone wisdom teeth removal clinics.We are an innovative company focused on doing one thing really well. Our supported practices have over 3,000 Five Star patient reviews and counting!As Assistant Controller, you'll assist in monitoring the company's financial status and managing day to day accounting transactions.Position is fully remote.ResponsibilitiesReconcile multiple bank accountsProvide accounting support to all other department managers and staff (billing and collections, marketing and sales, call center, clinical)Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulationsAssist with monthly close and producing financial statementsAssist in the financial duties of starting up new marketsManage merchant account reconciliation and issues and PCI complianceWork with insurance claims team on claims funds reconciliationManage petty cash and cash deposits with surgery managersManage intercompany transfers and funding sheetsHandle equipment asset accounts and loansAnnually handle 1099's and unclaimed propertySkillsWork experience as an Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar roleThorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting principles and proceduresHands-on experience with general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsExperience with cash management and bank reconciliationsExperience with monthly close and preparing financial statementsExperience with intercompany transfers and merchant account reconciliationExperience handling 1099's and unclaimed propertyExperience supporting and interfacing with other departments in a customer-service-oriented wayExperience with multi-location and multi-entity operationsExperience working with billing and collections teams is a plusExperience managing other accounting staff members is a plusExperience in a dental support organization is a plusExperience:QuickBooks: 3+ years (Required)Accounting Management: 5+ years (Required)Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferredAnnual salary: 90,000-100,000 USD/yearHealth insurancePaid time offJ-18808-Ljbffr
