Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to own and advance our manufacturing processes from the ground up. This role sits at the intersection of design, production, and quality designs. You will design fixtures, build and test electromechanical assemblies, develop automated test systems, and drive continuous improvement across our production floor. The right candidate brings strong technical fundamentals, a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, and the drive to grow with the company.

Design & Tooling

• Fixture & Tooling Development: Design, prototype, and validate custom jigs, fixtures, and test setups to improve assembly repeatability, accuracy, and operator ergonomics.

• CAD Modeling: Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and high-precision production drawings using parametric CAD software (SolidWorks, Onshape, Fusion 360, or equivalent).

• Additive Manufacturing: Leverage 3D printing technologies for rapid prototyping of assembly aids, functional components, and iterative product development.

Electromechanical Assembly & Integration

• Hardware Assembly: Assemble and oversee semi-complex mechanical and electromechanical systems in accordance with engineering specifications and BOMs.

• Electrical Integration: Execute system-level wiring and integration, interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure safe, reliable electrical connections.

• DFM Collaboration: Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and engineering change implementation.

Automation, Testing & Validation

• Automated Test Systems: Develop and program automated test fixtures using PLCs, Python, or C to validate electrical device performance and safety.

• Validation & Data Analysis: Design and execute rigorous test procedures; collect and analyze performance data to confirm products meet engineering requirements.

• Robotics & Automation: (Preferred) Integrate, program, and troubleshoot robotic cells and automated equipment to scale production capabilities.

Production Support & Quality

• NCM & Corrective Actions: Lead investigation and root cause analysis of Non-Conforming Material (NCM); determine dispositions and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Warranty Support: Manage warranty return diagnosis, disposition, and reporting.

• Continuous Improvement: Drive process optimization using Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance yield.

• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed Work Instructions (WIs), BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaboration: Serve as the technical bridge between Design Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.

• Project Management: Manage timelines for new equipment installation and production line hand-offs; ensure systems are validated and operators are trained.

• QMS & ERP: Support ISO 9001 / QMS efforts including corrective action reviews.

Required

• B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

• Entry level to 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing or production engineering experience

• Proficiency in parametric CAD software (SolidWorks, Onshape, Fusion 360, or equivalent)

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with demonstrated hands-on experience

• Foundational programming experience (PLC, Python, C, or similar)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation

Preferred

• Experience with additive manufacturing / 3D printing technologies

• Exposure to robotics, automation, or CNC programming

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies

• Experience with ERP systems (Odoo or similar)
