Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to a diverse orthopedic patient population including elective orthopedic and ortho trauma patients on a 30-bed unit
• Perform IV starts, Foley and straight catheterization, and CPM (continuous passive motion) application
• Manage and monitor nerve block pumps and On-Q ball systems for post-surgical patients
• Support early mobilization protocols and post-operative recovery in collaboration with the care team
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with charge nurses, bedside RNs, and PCTs in a team-oriented environment with patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Orthopedic RN in an acute care hospital setting
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
